Style Consultations
This initial meeting includes a 30-minute chat about your personal lifestyle, image needs and desires. Through a simple questionnaire and our conversation with you, we will create a plan to make you look
and feel absolutely fabulous!
Initial Style Consultations are complimentary. This service is required for all first time clients.
Event Styling
Need help finding the wedding dress of your dreams or the perfect outfit for a friend’s wedding, a charity gala or holiday party? If you are looking to turn heads at the Garden Party or make him weak in the knees, give us a call! Event Styling is a quick and easy way to preview our services before opening up your closet doors.
Image Consulting
Whether you are preparing for an important business trip, a wedding portrait or realtor ad campaign, James + Dunne has direct access to the industry’s most sought-after professionals. We will connect you with the top hair stylists, make-up artists, aestheticians and photographers. For business trips, James + Dunne will put together and pack several stylish “power” outfits with coordinating accessories to complement your itinerary.
Wardrobe Editing
Have a closet full of clothes and absolutely nothing to wear?
During this meeting, we will sort through your wardrobe and help you let go of that Liz Claiborne blouse from 1988 and breathe new life into the once-sexy skirt you wore to your high school reunion. We will cheer you on as you toss out items you no longer like, are damaged, unflattering (and cannot be tailored) or are no longer appropriate. Then, we will determine what needs to be tailored and cleaned. With a few minor adjustments, many items you already own will serve as key elements of your wardrobe. We will develop your core wardrobe pieces to build on for the season. We will drop off any consignment or donation items and will arrange any necessary alterations appointment. Finally, we will develop a list of must-have items
and a budget that works for you.
Now, the fun begins! It’s time to SHOP.
Personal Shopping
Intimidated by pushy salespeople? Too many choices? Not enough time?
Whether you are a busy professional, an expecting or new Mom looking to get her groove back or simply want a new look, James + Dunne will shop till we drop for your new wardrobe pieces. If we can’t find it here, the sky’s the limit – online, Raleigh, Charleston, New York, L.A. – we will exhaust all of our contacts in order to ensure your fabulous new look!
Because of our excellent relationships with retailers, we will bring the shopping to you! After hand-picking your new options, we’ll have a mini fashion show in your home or office – wherever you prefer. In addition, we will follow up on any special orders, sizing changes, arrange for alterations and will deliver the garments to you at a convenient time and location.
And, don’t worry – we won’t leave you hanging. If you have any questions on workin’ your new look, we’re just a phone call away!
Look Book
Throughout our time together, we will capture each outfit – new looks comprised of your original wardrobe staples mixed with the newest pieces in your collection – along with magazine tearsheets. This Style Look Book can be used as a reference or inspiration to maximize your wardrobe.
Cost: $150
“Style Reveal” Party
What’s the fun of looking so good without sharing it with the world – or at least your closest friends and family? A week after we’ve completed your Personal Shopping session, we will help plan and prepare you for your “Style Reveal” party. We will consult with you on hair and makeup to fit your new look and secure appointments with the beauty industry’s most sought-after professionals. Invite 5-10 of your closest friends for an evening filled with “ohhhs,” “ahhhs” and “Where’d you get that?!” On the event eVite, we will ask each of your friends to bring an item or outfit they are unsure of to share at your party. The night will ensue with a collective vote on what to keep, what to toss and how to maximize their personal style.
Costs: $250
Rates
We work as a team. Our rate is $75 per hour + 20% commission on total amount of purchases. Depending on the size of our client’s closet, we typically spend 12-15 hours for Wardrobe Editing and Personal Shopping services. For a friend referral, you will receive a complimentary hour.
Fractions of hours will be rounded to the nearest quarter hour. Out-of-town travel and expenses will be billed accordingly.
$500 deposit is required for first-time clients.
